Vacation Bible School 2009:
Camp Edge!
While registration for Vacation Bible School closed on June 30, there are still a few openings available. If you are interested in registering your child, please contact VBS Director, Amy Maple at (248) 626-2515, ext. 383.
Dear VBS Families,
I am so glad you will be part of the excitement at our Vacation Bible School, CAMP E.D.G.E.: EXPERIENCE + DISCOVER GOD EVERYWHERE. At CAMP E.D.G.E., your children join an extreme camp adventure where they will come to know that their strength and might come from God.
So that your children get the most from their experience, please review this material prior to the start of Camp E.D.G.E., Monday, July 6.
Monday morning, please arrive no later than 8:45 a.m. and report to the St. Andrew’s lobby/Refectory area. Friendly volunteers will await your arrival eager to answer your questions and help see your children off to their adventure at Camp E.D.G.E.!
What to Bring:
• A clean, plain white t-shirt – the children will create their own t-shirt for the Thursday night finale. Please write the child’s name on the inside collar with permanent marker.
• A photo release form for you to indicate whether or not you wish for your child’s photo to appear in our various publications (Kirk News, website, etc.) A form is included in this mailing. Extra copies of this form will be available at Monday’s registration.
• Drop-off and pick-up information to share with the volunteers at VBS. We want to be sure everyone arrives home safely and no one is left behind!
What each child/family will receive:
• A Camp E.D.G.E. Student Take-home CD-ROM (one/family). The CD-ROM is loaded with games and activities everyone can enjoy. The disc also includes ten songs from Camp E.D.G.E.
• Students in preschool and Kindergarten will receive activity books and fun stickers to help reinforce the daily Bible stories and E.D.G.E. Pledges.
• Students in grades 1-6 will receive their own carabiner and dog tag scripture treasurers to help reinforce the daily Bible stories and E.D.G.E. Pledges.
• Everyone (students and volunteers) will receive a special VBS Camp E.D.G.E. bandana (Thursday) to wear at the evening program.
Thursday’s Finale: Campfire Sing-a-Long at 6:30 p.m.
A tradition at VBS is our Thursday evening recital and ice cream social. Everyone is welcome. Details TBA.
