Caring Friends are volunteers who share God's love by offering friendly visits/phone calls and taking communion and often flowers to anyone who would like someone to talk with, and we have a focus especially on our elderly homebound members.
If you have time to call someone once a week, then you could become a caring friend and brighten someone’s day just by letting them know you care.
Deacons undertake ministries of care and compassion within and beyond the congregation, including Communities of Care (outreach to Kirk members), Prayer Cordon, communion preparation and celebration, hospitality ministries, Adopt-A-Family, church life luncheons, memorial teas, the Care Network, benevolence, college care packages, our courtesy cart, and much more.
This group of volunteers meets weekly to pray for those in need and/or for those who have made specific prayer requests (chronic illnesses, family issues, emotional concerns, hospitalizations, births, deaths). The Kirk staff maintains a list of individuals in need of our prayers.
Normally, this group meets in person each week, but due to COVID-19 the group is praying from home. All Kirk members are invited to attend and join the Prayer Cordon in this important ministry.

Are you going through a difficult time? A Stephen Minister can help. Stephen Ministers are members of our congregation who have received hours of caregiver training to minister to people experiencing a crisis, facing a challenge, or simply going through a tough time. This is a one-on-one, private, and highly confidential support ministry. Stephen Ministers are available after services to offer brief prayer to those who would like additional support.
You may contact Nancy Lau at to initiate a caring relationship with a Stephen Minister, or to inquire about becoming a Stephen Minister.
