Summer services are in full swing! This summer's sermon series is entitled, "Summer by the Lake."

Grab your Bible! For Sunday, July 5, the scripture reading relating to the sermon will be Mark 6:33-44.

Back by popular demand! "The Daily News and the Good News," our adult education offering each Sunday between services at 10:30 a.m. in the Upper Room. To receive the weekly email for the class, email Rev. Lana Russell at revler@kirkinthehills.org.

From June 22-Sept. 7, our office hours are M-F, 8:00 AM - 4:00 PM. The office is closed on Friday, July 3 and Monday, September 7.

Summer Garden Service Camp Hosanna Small Groups

Summer Garden Service

From June 21 - September 6, our Summer Garden Service is held in our Columbarium garden at 9:15 a.m. This family-friendly service includes a special children's message from the Pastor. Seating is provided, but feel free to bring your own folding chairs and blankets and enjoy this 45-minute service amidst the sights and sounds of our glorious Michigan summers. Support Camp Hosanna!

Many hands are needed as the Kirk partners with New Bethel Missionary Baptist Church and First Presbyterian Church of Birmingham, to provide this excellent, three-week camp, July 6-23, for 60 children from Pontiac (grades 2-8) who have been selected with particular potential to benefit from Camp Hosanna. It'a a great oppor-tunity for adults and high school students (who may be looking for community service hours) to support our neighbors in Pontiac. (more...)

 

What are Small Groups?

Have you heard about small groups? Many say that joining a small group is the single most important thing they've done to feel more connected than ever before with other Kirk members.  So what are small groups? How can you get involved? We're glad you asked! Small groups are forming right now, and can be Bible studies, book studies, service or mission related, or simply a group of individuals at similar life stages or with common interests.
