Important Update - Independence Day Celebration at Kirk in the Hills | July 1

Dear Kirk Family,

Due to the dangerous heat expected, all event activities—aside from the carillon and fireworks—will be moved indoors to the Refectory, St. Andrew’s, and foyer areas.

The Men of the Kirk will use the Refectory kitchen to prepare hot dogs, and our team is working through the updated setup to ensure the event runs smoothly.

Everyone’s safety is our first priority, and we are grateful for your flexibility and understanding.

We look forward to gathering with you and celebrating together safely!

The television documentary “Detroit: City of Faith” has just been awarded the Emmy for Best Cultural Film by the Michigan Chapter of the National Academy of Television Arts and Sciences.  Kirk in the Hills was a prominent participant along with several other churches in this wonderful tribute to our ethnic rich Metro Detroit faith-based community. Many members of our congregation appeared in the film and told our story from its founding to today.  From our rich heritage to involvement in the community, the Kirk shines.
