Faith & Community Leaders Breakfast

May 14, 2025 8:00am

Kirk in the Hills Presbyterian Church Outreach & Mission Ministry is hosting our 5th Annual Faith and Community Leaders Breakfast on Wednesday, May 14 from 8:00 a.m. to 9:30 a.m. (doors open at 7:30 a.m.) in the Refectory at Kirk in the Hills, 1340 West Long Lake Rd., Bloomfield Hills, MI 48302. The focus of this year’s event is Youth Mental Health.

Recognizing the unprecedented rates of depression and suicide among adolescents and young adults, we believe it is essential for clergy and community members to come together. We invite leaders from local churches, synagogues, mosques, public service, and nonprofits to take part in a morning of food, fellowship, and meaningful discussion. Together, we will learn, connect, and explore ways to enhance our ability to support those struggling within our community.

We are excited to announce the following speakers for our breakfast:

Following breakfast, you can attend an OPTIONAL 45-minute breakout session (approximately 9:30 a.m. to 10:15 a.m.) on one of the following topics:

  • Youth Mental Health Deep Dive:
Anthony Muller with Samaritas will facilitate a breakout panel discussion, “Behavioral Health and Substance Use Disorder- Students in Recovery, ” with two Oakland University students from Grizz Recovery, OU Collegiate Recovery Program, in partnership with the Jamie Daniels Foundation.
  • Freedom from Trafficking Update:
Following up from last year's Breakfast, representatives from Hope Against Trafficking will be sharing updates about their work and ways you and your organization can be involved.
