About the 2027 Stewardship Campaign
This is Year 2 of our three-year campaign when wLift the Second Mast and catch the wind. We enter this stewardship season knowing that generosity is less about what we must provide and more about what God invites us to participate in. Our gifts become part of something larger than any one of us. They help create places where children discover faith, where friendships deepen, where weary hearts find encouragement, where worship draws us toward God, and where the love of Christ finds its way into the world, near & far.
Our 2027 Stewardship theme, Full Sail Church: A Seafaring Church, beckons us to lift high the mast, open the sails of our hearts to the Spirit, and voyage toward God’s horizon with faith, gratitude, vision, and hope, in Christ’s name. Join us as we examine different seafaring motifs all found throughout Scripture:
October 11 – THE MAST
John 3:1-8 – Catch the Wind
October 18 – SHELL & WATER
Matthew 14:22-33 – Walk on Water
October 25 – THE FISH
Luke 5:1-11 – Put Out Into the Deep
November 1 – THE ANCHOR
Hebrews 6:13-20 – Hope Holds
November 8 – THE WATCHMAN (Veterans Sunday)
Psalm 121:1-8; Hebrews 11:29-12:1 – Standing Watch (w/ Guest Preacher & Speaker Rev. Peter Muschinske, Chaplain & Rear Admiral, US Navy [retired])
November 15 – THE SHIP (Generosity & Pledge Sunday)
1 Corinthians 12:12-27 – All Hands on Deck!
November 22 – KIRKIN' O' THE TARTAN (Anniversary Sunday)
Psalm 67; John 21:1-19 -- This is just outside stewardship season but is an incredibly special Sanctuary service at 10 AM to celebrate the generosity of generations past & present. It's one of the few times throughout the year when we have a single, combined service rather than the separate 9 AM & 11 AM services.
A Full Sail Church is a church where every heart experiences God’s transforming love and where, led by the Spirit, we move forward with a clear mission: to love like Jesus—within our congregation, beyond our walls, and into God’s world and God’s future.
A journey like ours does not happen all at once—it unfolds over time. Last year, we began to chart our course. This year, we lift a second mast, trusting that there is still more of God’s horizon before us. There are more people to welcome, more hearts to reach, more neighbors to serve, and more ministries to discover.
So, welcome aboard, New Friends & Longtime Members alike! Together, may we lift our sails high, trust the wind of the Spirit, and journey in faith toward the future God has prepared.
