Rev. Jasmine Smart

Rev. Jasmine Smart is a graduate of Calvin University and Princeton Theological Seminary. She is originally from the Pacific Northwest, and enjoys rainy days with coffee and a book. She has previously worked as a Spiritual Care Provider for PACE of SE Michigan, an organization dedicated to all-inclusive care for aging adults, and has a special place in her heart for Seniors after growing up with her grandmother raising her.
Pastor Jasmine moved to the Detroit area in 2016, was ordained at Kirk in the Hills in 2017, and has also served at First Presbyterian Troy, Fort Street Presbyterian Church, Community Presbyterian in Waterford, and most recently Grosse Pointe Memorial Church. She served as the Moderator of the Detroit Presbytery in 2022. Her husband Jonathan works at nearby United Wholesale Mortgage, and they enjoy seeing their 3 year old niece in Wisconsin whenever schedules permit. Their dog Sandie brings smiles to their faces every day, and reminds them to nap whenever possible!
