Advent by Candlelight

For Christians, Advent is a time for remembering how the world waited in anticipation of God’s promised Messiah to come.
Advent by Candlelight is an annual event designed for women of the Kirk and friends to celebrate Advent by gathering while focusing on Jesus and the true meaning of Christmas.
We begin the evening with a brief worship service featuring music of the season and an uplifting message from Reverend Kelsey Sorge, followed by a time of fellowship with coffee, tea and festive tablescapes with amazing desserts created by the hostesses for their guests to enjoy. For 19 years, this has been a well-loved and well-attended event sponsored by Kirk Women.
There is no charge to attend; we ask you to bring an unwrapped, new hat, pair of mittens, gloves, socks, or underwear in any size for our students whom we support in Pontiac.
This year, Advent by Candlelight will be held on Wednesday, December 6, starting at 7:00 p.m. in the Kirk Sanctuary.
