Giving Thanks
Stewardship is the Biblical term for how we manage our resources of time, talent, and treasure, and the ways these bear witness to the Beloved Community God is forming—The Church. As we look ahead to our holy days (holidays!), I am excited about our Stewardship Theme in November: Giving Thanks! We have so much to be thankful for, and over the next couple of weeks, you will hear from some of our members, staff, and community leaders as they give thanks.
Each Week will have a theme: Generosity, Service, Legacy, and Gratitude. Each Sunday will feature important elements of our worship: the All Saints Remembrance, honoring our veterans, the Kirkin’ O’ The Tartan, and Christ The King Sunday. Each Friday, you’ll receive our regular This Week At The Kirk email, along with a special message.
As we head into this season, I wonder—what are you thankful for? I pray that you’ll join me in giving thanks for this church community, for our worship of the living God, our faith formation in Christ, and our participation in the mission of God by the power of the Holy Spirit. It makes a difference for each one of us and for the world. Let’s give thanks!
