Kirk in the Hills has been serving the Pontiac school district for over 25 years. Prior to COVID-19 and starting again in the Fall of 2022, the Kirk will ask for 20-25 volunteers to tutor elementary aged students in 2^nd – 5^th grade. Typically, it is one-on-one reading and math tutoring. Once a tutor gets assigned a student, he/she works with that same student throughout the entire year. The students look forward to Tuesdays and Thursdays because the Kirk makes the tutoring sessions fun and provides snacks prior to the lessons and holiday appropriate parties, birthday celebrations and more!
