November is National Adoption Month. Our Kirk Foster Care committee sponsored a  presentation on Adoption and Foster Care Sunday Oct 31 after both services. Children in Foster Care, unable to return home, need nurturing and support that an adoptive family can provide. If you are interested in learning more about Foster Care, contact Zena Maldonado at 248-897-8317 or Adoption, contact Michigan Adoption Resource Exchange (MARE) at 800-589-6273. If you are interested in helping support or volunteer at Foster Care related programs sponsored by the Kirk to say thanks and give some love to the Foster Care parents and children in our area; please contact Kirk Foster Care committee co-chair: Sheri Falvay 248-425-7065.

Accent Pontiac, the Kirk's own non-profit organization changing lives through music, held their annual board retreat this past Saturday. They discussed their expansion into the Pontiac middle school, their overall strategic planning and the 5K Bucket Run taking place this Saturday Nov 6 at 9 a.m. at the Kirk. Register for that here. And to volunteer click here.

Last Wednesday, October 27, Pastor Edwin and our Kirk Outreach and Mission group joined together with Pastor Kelsey and our Kirk Youth Group to participate in the Pontiac community-wide Trunk or Treat. They served approximately 5000 young Pontiac residents lots of candy and enjoyed seeing the kids in costumes and taking part in all the Halloween festivities!

This Sunday at the 10:30 AM service we heard Pastor Nate preach. If you missed the sermon, click the button below.

This past Sunday we were led in an interactive worship experience by our Kirk youth and children celebrating the Reformation. Written and directed by one of our new music staff members, Merideth Hite Estevez, with music performed by the Kirk’s children’s choirs, we saw the story of how the Church was reformed and is still reforming! If you missed the 9am service, click the button below to celebrate the faith and history of the Church!

The youth lock in this weekend was one for the books. 25 youth and 5 leaders spent the night playing games, watching movies, competing in an escape room and eating lots of food. It was a night of very little sleep and lots of laughter.

Last Wednesday, the Kirk Personnel Committee treated the Kirk staff to a Panera luncheon! A few Kirk staff members said it was the highlight of their day! And getting everyone together to break bread is always a fun way to build camaraderie!! A BIG THANK YOU to those who made it happen!!
