Our Kirk folks showed up Saturday to do some Earth Day Clean Up including our new Pastor of Outreach and Mission, Edwin Estevez! Half the group picked up trash on Long Lake Road, while the other half did yard clean up at Bill Robinson's house! All had donuts! If you missed it: there's another Earth Day Clean Up with Micah 6 this Saturday, April 24 at 9 a.m. at 32 Newberry Street Pontiac.

Pastor Edwin began his first "official" week at the Kirk meeting some of our community partners, getting a tour of the Lighthouse Food warehouse and delivering food to our Kirk families!

This week Pastor Nate challenged us to consider the same question that Jesus asked Peter, “Who do you say that I am?” He invited us to let what we believe about the person of Jesus shape our community as we come back to church. Watch here!

This past Sunday’s Musical Moment presented music for harp and organ, performed by Patricia Masri-Fletcher, principal harpist of the Detroit Symphony Orchestra. Patty is well-known to the Kirk congregation as she plays each year for our Christmas Eve Holy Night services. The link to the Musical Moment is found here.

Due to your incredible generosity we were able to provide Lighthouse with food, hygiene products and tents after our Costco shopping trip this week!

Our teachers have been teaching Sunday school on Zoom this year. Our K-1 teachers pre-record lessons that they teach on Sundays. Teacher Julia Libcke recorded a few of remaining lessons for the year. We’ll begin Garden Club next month! Thank you, Sunday school teachers, for your love and commitment to our children and families!
