Kirk volunteers fixed a fence, filled a dumpster and removed a whole fence line full of trees and shrubs on Saturday during the Micah 6 Dwight Block Blitz! Sherry, the proud homeowner (in the white t-shirt) who had been previously homeless, worked alongside of us to get the projects done and was thrilled and extremely grateful with the results. Walking alongside of her for the day was a beautiful way to experience and share God's love!

On Sunday we lifted hands in prayer to formally commission our new officers (elders, deacons, and trustees).

We are grateful for the time and energy they share with our church and for the nominating committee’s work in joining these new officers to their sense of call.

The Kirk Singers, who are under the direction of Anita Pinson, have resumed their periodic rehearsals. The Kirk Choir has entered summer mode, which means that some weeks the choir comprises of sopranos and altos and other weeks tenors and basses. Click the buttons below to watch the sopranos and altos in rehearsal for Fathers’ Day.

This week was the final celebration of school year programs. The mid highs enjoyed a water slide and water balloon fights and the sr. Highs went out with a pool party! I’m looking forward to all that the summer will bring for our group.

Our families came out to kick off their summer on Friday evening with live music, strolling magic, bounce house, campfire, s’mores, food truck and took home a VBS-in-a-box! What a fun way to reset and kick off the summer!

We had a mini art show on heaven during coffee hour on Sunday to go with Pastor Nate’s sermon, “…who art in in heaven.” The very inspiring art show has been moved into Heritage Hall and will be there for one more week until next Sunday!
