Monday Minute 7.12.21

July 12, 2021

Sunday the Kirk hosted the Bloomfield Hills Police and Fire Departments along with all Front Line Essential Workers who did so much to get us through COVID-19. There was a special blessing said at each service and a free food truck to break bread with those we were celebrating! Despite the rain, it was a glorious day!

Sunday the Kirk had a warm send off for 13 Foster Care kids we sponsored to go to Camp Skyline. This may be the first time any of these students got a chance to go to camp or out of the metropolitan area. There were snacks, people made cookies and some of our Kirk Foster Care committee members even rode the bus out to camp with the kids. Please pray for these children that they enjoy their experience, gain a greater knowledge and love for themselves, their lives, and the great outdoors and that they build special bonds between each other, other campers and their camp counselors during the week to come!

Despite the rain yesterday we had a great turn out for worship yesterday! You can watch Pastor Edwin's sermon On Earth by clicking the button below.

On Sunday the 9am service wasn’t in the garden but we still had top-notch jazz musicians in worship! Take a listen to this snippet of Branden Hood and Nicole Joseph singing “What a Wonderful World” accompanied by Phil Kelly on piano, Jeff Pedraz on bass, and Brandon Cooper on trumpet.

Our youth mission team took off for Jonesville, Virginia, last Sunday early in the morning! Please pray that they’d repair houses, build relationships and grow in faith through this mission trip! Please pray for Pastor Kelsey who’s leading the trip as well! Also be on a lookout for daily updates from them this week!
