Yesterday the Kirk hosted a "Homecoming" celebration after our service, welcoming everyone back home from their summer activities, all members and visitors alike! There were two free food trucks, a toddler area, inflatable obstacle course, a petting zoo, yard games, D.J, ice cream stand, and Bingo on the porch. We even had a special guest appearance by our very own Bloomfield Hills High School Marching Band. Fun was had by all!! A special thank you to our Director of Mission and Outreach Julie Walker, Todd Galloway, Heather Lorincz, and Jane Dittus for comprising the Membership Committee and volunteers who made it such a great success!

Saturday’s Evening Prayer service for 9/11 featured the Kirk Singers and cellist Úna O’Riordan, who led a time of meditation and prayer. The service concluded outside with carillonneur Dennis Curry playing “In Memoriam – September 11, 2001.”
What a fun evening the youth group had at our kick off event on Sunday! It was exciting to be back together and look forward to the year ahead, hopefully full of spiritual growth and new friendships.
