Congregational Meeting

Greetings Fellow Members,
It gives us great pleasure to announce that the Church Officer Nominating Committee (CONC) has unanimously agreed upon a slate of nine members to bring to the congregation for our Pastoral Nominating Committee (PNC). The Session has called a meeting of the congregation for September 24th at 10:00 a.m. (following the 9:00 a.m. service) for the congregation's election of the PNC.
With the guidance of Dr. McDonald and Rev. Neeta Nichols of the Detroit Presbytery, our process of selection spanned nearly three months and included careful consideration of over 100 church members. Many hours of discernment and careful, deliberate discussion led us to form a group of individuals who are dedicated, thoughtful, and church-first. They were chosen for their spiritual gifts, their diverse backgrounds, their wisdom, and their ability to work together as a team. We have complete confidence that this committee will find a Senior Pastor who will not only help sustain the foundation and traditions of the Kirk, but also someone who will diligently lead with passion, God's love, and a focus on membership growth as we look to the future and the ultimate sustainability of this wonderful church.
Thank you for your continued patience, prayer, and support as we move through this important process. We look forward to the congregational meeting on Sunday, September 24th at 10:00 a.m. when we can officially put the PNC to work!
