Virtual Prayer Pause for Peace and Unity

Dear Kirk in the Hills Family and Friends,

In light of yesterday’s troubling incident at Temple Israel and the growing tensions and violence we continue to witness around the world, many in our community have expressed a desire to come together in prayer.

Today at 4:00 p.m., we invite you to join us for a virtual Prayer Pause as we seek God’s peace for our community and our world.

Together we will pray for:

• Peace and healing in our local community
• The safety and well-being of our neighbors at Temple Israel and the broader Jewish community
• Unity in the Church and unity among houses of worship, to support the freedom to worship
• An end to war and violence in the Middle East and throughout the world
• Protection for houses of worship everywhere
• Gratitude that no children were physically harmed in yesterday’s incident
• Wisdom and courage for first responders and community leaders

In moments like these, prayer becomes a powerful reminder that we are not alone and that God’s peace is stronger than fear.
