Series on Exodus • Dr. McDonald

Series on Exodus

The book of Exodus is key to understanding the rest of the Bible. In it, we catch a vision of the defining events of the people of faith. We see glimpses of their trajectory from slavery to freedom. They expect a miracle but experience a journey. Through the pressure of events and the call of God, the people achieve a new sense of identity and purpose. Connection with God is realized through God’s surprising actions and the people’s response. The relationship is kept and rekindled through ritual, law, ethics, and storytelling. In this study, we will seek to bridge the distance between what happened a long, long time ago and the dynamics of God’s liberating call in the present.

Faithful Stewardship • Thrivent

Faithful Stewardship

Thrivent Financial, a faith-based Fortune 500 nonprofit that offers free community classes around faithful stewardship is back! From planning for college to retirement, Thrivent will offer a faith-based perspective for wise financial planning.

We do hope you will come to learn from one of the classes, but if you cannot stay for those, please come for dinner and fellowship. Most of all we just want you to come and be part of the Body of Christ, fellowship together and encouraging one another.

Children and Youth

All youth and children 8th grade and under are invited to participate in dinner and worship! At 6:30 we will break off into age-appropriate groups that will nourish faith formation and community building.

Nursery (Ages birth-4): Childcare is available in Abbey 24 for our younger worshippers.

Children (Ages 5-Grade 5): A faith-based, age-appropriate movie will play in the seaside cinema with popcorn! Details of each week’s movie will be posted in the weekly Kirk communications.
