Accent Pontiac Green Bucket Run

2024 Accent Pontiac Fundraiser: Green Bucket Run Date and Time: Friday Nov 2nd 9:30 am Location: Kirk in the Hills

Accent Pontiac’s main fundraiser is the Green Bucket Run.  This year’s event is Saturday November 2nd, and will be held here at the Kirk.  We would like to encourage all Kirk members to be part of this amazing event, as a runner/walker, volunteer or sponsor. Last year’s event raised $15,000 to benefit the program, and we are hoping to beat that number this year.

Registration Information: The race begins at 9:30 am Saturday November 2nd followed by the kids race at 9:35 am. The course is a 5K beginning at Kirk in the Hills and using mildly flat/hilly paved roads around the lake in a beautiful autumn tour. 

• $35 early registration by Friday, October 25. 
• $25 for students and Pontiac residents by Friday, October 25. 
• $40 after Oct. 25th and walk-ins.
• This course is USATF-certified.
• Every runner gets a tech T-shirt and race bib.
• Can’t participate but would like to sponsor a runner? Click the blue Donate button and choose “On Behalf of other” and type “sponsor a runner”. Suggested donation is $25.00 per runner. You’ll be supporting Accent Pontiac students and families participating in the Green Bucket Run

 Accent Pontiac is a 5013C nonprofit that was started with Kirk in the Hills funding.  They are a youth development and music education nonprofit serving the public schools in Pontiac. They offer intensive, quality music programming 4 days per week, with access to musical instruments and instruction, transportation, and meals free of charge during the school year. Over 270 students, from 3 partner schools, experience performances, field trips, and guest artist events during the school. And many more students experience the same benefits during their summer music programs.  The program builds confidence, leadership, teamwork, and music skills.
