Christmas Eve Services

The Advent and Christmas season at the Kirk is one of the loveliest times of the year. The dark gloom of approaching mid-winter is pierced, first by the light of Advent candles, then by the coming of Christ, the Light of the World. We prepare our hearts through worship, we inspire our hearts with seasonal music, and then, through four special services on Christmas Eve, we give expression to the joy that Christmas brings, that God so loved the world that we have his only Son.

 All are welcome to join us for services on Christmas Eve. If you are new to the Kirk, please know that there are no denominational or membership requirements to attend any of the Kirk’s worship services, Bible studies, classes, or lecture series. The Kirk invites everyone to come and share in the Christmas spirit and the birth of the Messiah this holiday season!

Please note that each of our Christmas Eve services vary in length and content:

11:00 a.m. - Service for families with young children - This service will feature Christmas content specifically for young children, including recognizable hymns, a short Christmas message, and performances from our choirs. 

5:00 p.m. Christmas Pageant Service - The Kirk's children and youth will put on a pageant of the Nativity Scene. This service will also contain traditional worship elements, including choral music, hymns, a Christmas message, and more.

8:30 p.m. & 11:00 p.m. Holy Night Candlelight Service - The Kirk's Holy night services offer a celebratory and deeply reverent Christmas experience. Hymns, the hum of the organ, and a Christmas message will be illuminated by the warm glow of candles. The Kirk's Holy Night services are the most popular services of the season.

* Nursery and childcare will not be available on Christmas Eve. Children are welcome to attend any of our worship services, but the 11:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m. services may be more engaging for children.
